Obituary of John A. Olbis

John A. Olbis, 85, of Freehold Township died Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Applewood Estates Healthcare Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Olbis was born in Clifton and had resided in Freehold Township since 1945. He was the owner and operator of Olbis Greenhouses, Freehold Township. Mr. Olbis was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine R.C. Church, Freehold Township and was a member of the New Jersey Farm Bureau. A daughter, Karen Olbis, died in 2005 Surviving are his wife, Caroline Faber Olbis; and a sister, Kathleen Steen, Alpharetta, Georgia. Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine R.C. Church, Freehold Township on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
