Obituary of Geraldine Sahl

Geraldine “Gerry” Sahl, 79, of Freehold passed away peacefully on March 9, 2012. She was born to Patrick Edward and Anne O’Connell Hennigan in Brooklyn, NY. Gerry was a vivacious, athletic and loving person who enjoyed the Jersey Shore, bridge, reading, her church, her many devoted friends and especially her family. She worked in real estate and the medical field for many years. Gerry was a devoted wife to her husband George Jack Sahl for over 50 years who predeceased her in 2007. She was also predeceased by her sister, Eileen Blom. Gerry is survived by her sister Carole Warner and her husband John, Sayville, NY. Gerry will be greatly missed by her four children, Jack P. Sahl and wife Joann, Bath, OH, Corrine A. Kelly, Clinton, CT, Craig Sahl and wife Mary, Hazlet, and Daniel M. Sahl and wife Diane, Danbury, CT. Gerry was the proud grandmother of eight: Courtney Kelly Rinaldi, Sean P. Kelly, Kellene Sahl, Kristen Sahl, Mandi Sahl, Anish Sahl, Jackson Sahl and Connor Sahl; and great granddaughter, Olivia Grace Rinaldi. Visiting hours are at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Monday at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311 would be appreciated.
