My heartfelt condolences to all the members of Gerry's family. I was sorry to hear of Gerry's death but not surprised since I was aware of the precarious state of her health and the pain she was enduring. At least she is now at peace. The last time I spoke with Gerry was just before Thanksgiving. We had a lengthy conversation and she seemed more upbeat than on other occasions. I am thankful to Mary for her assistance in providing me with information on Gerry's condition when I was unable to reach Gerry by phone. Gerry and I worked together after school as teenagers at the Krug Bakery in Jamaica, NY. We kept in touch over the years and had a special relationship since we shared a common birthday (we were born on the same day). In the 1990's we enjoyed a fun-filled tour of Ireland. I will remember her especially on March 21st and will cherish all the memories I have of her over the 60 plus years of our friendship. Again, my condolences. She will be missed not only by her family but by all who knew her. Terry Schmitz
