To the entire Clark family: I am deeply sorry for the loss of a generation of Clarks. Both Grandma & Grandpa will be missed by all whose lives they touched. They were two truly good people in this world where such bad things happen. Together they built a strong, loving family that will help each other get through this difficult time. Thank you to Grandpa for his service in the Marines and for raising such fine children, all of whom I consider friends. Thank you to Grandma for always putting a smile on my face, even through my own tough times and for giving all of herself to those in need. Rest in peace, until we meet again.

To the people of Freehold Borough - You just lost one of the best protectors you ever had. Gary Clark did everything in his power to keep you safe. I had the pleasure of working with Gary every day for five years before he became a detective. When I got on the force in 1970, Freehold Borough was having some troubled times. I was on Gary's squad and he was the senior patrolman. I was so lucky being with him and Kenny Mount. Gary and I handled everything from barking dogs, house fires and even a person trying to commit suicide and shooting at us at point blank range. I never saw him blink at anything that came his way. I talked with Gary several times in the last few months and he was so brave even until the end. He always tried to make me laugh and was still so sharp talking on the phone. I told Gary he made me the cop I was. He was a true brother in blue. My love, respect and sorrow goes out to his family which he loved so much.
