It’s been 3 months since you’ve left this Earth and not a single day passes where I don’t think of you. I miss you so much Greg. What gets me through each day is knowing that you’re healed now and happy with Heavenly Father. I love you Bro Bro.

I went to St. Bernards with Greg up through 5th grade. All of my best memories were with him. He was the kindest and nicest kid who I couldn’t wait to have my mom call his mom so we could play together. We were great friends at and outside of school. We used to ride our bikes two each other’s house. We used to play in these woods across the street from his house. I can remember him being the fastest and strongest kid in our elementary class. We finally caught up and spoke on the phone a few years ago, and that reconnection was something I had longed for almost 30 years. Even my parents voiced their shock and sadness when I told them about Greg because they remember him so much as well. Yes, he was that special. I will you my friend. - Doug Laidlaw

My heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy for the Powell Family, I'm extremely sorry for your loss. I met Greg in the Fall of '92, we all lived on the 3rd floor of Metzger Hall. I can't think of any great memories at Rutgers that didn't include Greg Powell. You were a great person that everyone liked, full of spirit and a loyal friend. I'll miss you buddy, Rest In Peace.

Our sincerest thoughts, prayers, and condolences to the Powell family. We were neighbors and friends/classmates and grew up with Greg, Renee and Mike. Greg was the oldest amongst us and was like an older brother to us all...he mentored us, protected us, and taught us a thing or two about sports (kickball!) and sportsmanship. He was such a fine example of what it meant to be kind to others. I feel so grateful to have had all those memories of our childhood.....memories that I speak of fondly and will cherish forever. Sending love and prayers to you all.....Rest in peace Greg. God bless you and your entire family.

Greg was my classmate at St. Joes and Rutgers. He was an amazing scholar and athlete, but most of all he was an amazing friend who was loved and admired by all. My thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to his entire family. Rest in peace, Greg.

My first best friend...I love and miss you so much Greg but I'm happy you are now with God, whole and healed. I'm so very proud of you brother, you fought a good fight.
