Obituary of Lugenia Pearl Jefferson

On Thursday, May 5, 2022, Lugenia Pearl Jefferson, 92, who was born and raised in Freehold, NJ peacefully passed away in The Rehabilitation Center at Wedgewood Gardens in Freehold, NJ. She is predeceased by her husbands, Edward Hammond and William Jefferson. Surviving are her two daughters Glynis Hammond and Dr. Attallah Brightwell, brother Mack Harris (Verlepta), three grandchildren, Saleem Brightwell, Ali Brightwell, Yasmeen Brightwell and special nieces Robin Major (Billy), Nya Major, Halle Major, Dr. Caren Craig, Solana Craig, special nephews, Randall Craig, Jr. (Sharon) Randall Craig, III, Ryan Craig, devoted and loving sister-cousin, Argentine Craig, and her close friends, Dorothy Wright, Lillie Hendry, Audrey Taylor (Robert), Karen Suozzo-Tessein, Valerie Darden, Marie Meadows, Jane Rumble, Thelma Williams and a host of other beloved relatives and friends. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend her viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, NJ 07728.
