To the family of Freddie, as life happens and extended family members go their own way, sadly, we only see each other for special events or, as in this case, death. My first memory of Freddie was over 60 years ago when he and my Aunt Alta started dating. When she and I would see each other, she would gleefully share that she was dating the best looking guy ever! Dad, you are always going to be the rock of our family. You're a loving husband, wonderful father and great grandfather/great-grandfather. You have always been the strong one in the family, and have beaten so many things the past few years. I will always look up to you and keep you in my heart forever. You are the greatest father a girl could ever want and I am so proud to call you MY DADDY! I will love you eternally and always try to keep making you proud. Thank you, dad, for a lifetime of beautiful memories with you. From waiting at the corner of Grant Street in Farmingdale, enjoying honeysuckles till your car turned that corner on your way home from work and would race me to the house while I ran as fast as I could thinking I beat you every time! To our trout fishing trips to Maine & upstate NY, brushing our teeth in the streams, teaching me how to bait the hook and catch a fish, or practicing duck calls for hunting season with you at the kitchen table, to fun nights dancing and singing with you and mom playing 45's on the record player in the living room. I'm beyond blessed to have been raised by you dad. You will always be the strongest, most caring, giving and loving father a daughter could ever have. I miss you so much, but I know by faith our family will all be together again. I love you dad...always, your little "BVD"
