Martin was a friend and classmate at Williams College. He was the glue that held our 1974-’75 singing group (the "Ephlats," see the attached photo) together thanks to his rock steady and always reliable guitar playing as well as his unimpeachable musical integrity. He sang a fantastic solo in our version of Elton John's “Come Down in Time” and he had the last word at all our concerts: a shouted “G’night!” after the final chord of “Pack Up Your Sorrows” that always conveyed a delicious sense of celebration and finality. He will be missed. I send my thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.
