Very sorry for the loss of a true gentleman. Had the pleasure of knowing Hartson as a member of the Marlboro High School faculty. He was loved by his students...the "cowboys" and "cowgirls"...and respected and admired by the staff. It was an honor and pleasure to have had him as a mentor in the early years of my teaching career. He made a difference in numerous lives.

Hartson grew up with 8 siblings. My Dad being the oldest and Hartson being the youngest. Unlike we did for his brothers, my siblings and I never called him by his rightful title, Uncle, because he was a kid just like us. As an adult, I will always be grateful to him for his devotion to visiting my parents while my Dad was alive but even after his death when my Mom was alone – at home and in the assisted living facility. Thank you, Uncle Hartson. In His Love, Frank & Carol

I was blessed to have Hartson Boyce as my History teacher at MHS and my brother in Christ at First Baptist Church, Matawan, NJ.
His love our Lord, His Military Service and History left footprints on my soul.

We at First Baptist Church of Matawan will greatly miss the "FORCE" that was Hartson Boyce. We honor his life of service as: teacher, marine, Deacon Trustee and faithful member. Best of all we rejoice in his arrival at the feet of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and look forward to a time when we are all gathered at the Lord's Table.

Mr. Boyce was one of the greatest and most memorable teachers I ever had. He is the only teacher from MHS that my parents remembered. I loved his classes and respected him greatly. Rest in Peace Mr. Boyce.
