Obituary of Michelle Ann Burton

Michelle Ann Burton, 51, passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 12, 2019, at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on August 30, 1967, in Perth Amboy, to Albert and Dorothy DaConceicao. Michelle graduated from Perth Amboy High School and attended Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She then attended Fordham University where she obtained her Masters in Social Work. Michelle was a licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor and dedicated her life to the many individuals she counseled. She most recently was employed with Advanced Health & Education of Eatontown and provided compassionate, empathetic and dependable care to the individuals served and to her colleagues. Michelle is survived by her father, Albert and his wife Virginia (Cape Coral, FL), her fiancé Dan (Highlands, NJ), her son Justin (Freehold, NJ), her son Edward IV (Vinita, OK) and her aunt Vernice (Jackson, NJ). Michelle is preceded in death by her infant son, Edward III, her mother, Dorothy and her uncle Manuel. Michelle will always be remembered, by her family and friends, for the warmth and love she radiated during her journey. A memorial service is scheduled for March 23, 2019 from 12pm-2pm at Higgins Memorial Home in Freehold. All are welcome to come and celebrate in the memory of Michelle’s life. In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family asks that a donation be made to the SIDS Center of NJ in Michelle’s name. This organization provided much support and education to Michelle after her infant son passed of SIDS in the 1990’s. Michelle then became an active part of the organization through the years in providing peer support to the families in need.
