Obituary of Vera Ruth Macon

Vera Ruth Macon, 89, of Freehold passed away on October 2, 2018 at Centrastate Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Macon was born in Birmingham, Alabama. She was an inspector for the Brockway Glass Company, Freehold before her retirement. She was predeceased by three sons, Wonser Leon Macon Robert Macon, Jr., and Billy Ray Macon. Surviving are her husband, Robert Macon; two sons, Bernard and Dwight; three daughters, Robbie Thomas, Valerie Fitzpatrick, and Marilyn Wynn; a brother, Algry Summerlin; and three sisters, Bobbie Ivory, Jean Remson, and Lavada Smith. The viewing will be held at the Bethel A.M.E. Church, Freehold on Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will be held at the church at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
