Obituary of George W. Siver

George W. Siver, Jr., 92, of Marlboro Township died on August 29, 2018 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Glen Ridge and resided in Bloomfield. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving as an aviation radioman. He was a graduate of Kansas State University and earned a Master of Education degree from Rutgers University. He was a professor at Rutgers University, New Brunswick working as director of the 4H Youth Program in Monmouth County for 30 years. Mr. Siver was a member of the CentraState Medical Center Board of Trustees for ten years; and a former member of the Greater Freehold Jaycees and the Freehold Exchange Club. He was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Martin Schmidt, and sister-in-law, Helene Osborn. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Mary Osborn Siver; his sons, Robert Siver and wife Roxann, Ronald Siver and wife Kelly, and Rodger Siver and partner Cindy Byington; a daughter, Sharon Kenny and husband Robert. He was the proud grandfather of Hunter, Megan, Madison, Kayla, Jesse, Savana, Lillian, Riley, and Sydney. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, David Osborn, and many nieces and nephews.
