I send my sincerest condolences to Katie's family and friends. What a wonderful person -- warm, kind, generous, and charming. I was blessed to be guest at dinner a couple of times and she was a gracious hostess, too. In later years, she would invite me on occasion to have lunch at Applewood. She loved her church and served in so many ways -- altar guild, usher, vestry -- and always with grace and dignity. I count her a true friend, and feel it was a privilege and a blessing to know her. She will be remembered in our prayers at Christ Church in Mexico City this Sunday.
