Shaminka, I can't believe today is the day that I have to say goodbye to you. Thank you, thank you for always being more than a co-worker, more than a supervisor but thank you for being my friend. There have been many times where I had you in my corner- always. Whenever a problem arose or I really had an issue with something, there you were, right behind me. You knew how to talk me down, how to fix the problem and how we could make things better. Your smile, laugh and attitude were contagious and you made this a better place. I thank God for crossing our paths. I'll miss our morning talks (sometimes dances), I'll miss our just because phone calls but most of all I'll miss your hugs. All I can think about is the last text you sent me. It all feels so unreal. You're home now Angel, rest in the most sweetest of peace. I pray for comfort and peace for your family. Love you 'Minka! Shaminka, I say the same - wonderful working with you as a member of the MCPO family. We had more than that..we had a friendship while I was there. I remember always getting on you for wearing rubber bands to pull your hair back - so I brought you scrunchies. I remember helping you prepare for your wedding..looking for dresses. Always having that innocent smile. I will cherish the memories and friendship. Prayers of peace and understanding to your husband and children. So long for now. Tears.

Shamika, It was wonderful working with you as a member of the MCPO family. We had FUN! Yeah, we were at work but we always made each other laugh! Then the next question was, "what's for lunch?" Not necessarily in that order. Maybe food first then God. We encouraged each other in our walk with our Savior Jesus Christ. We made sure that our focus was on what He was asking us to do for each other or someone else that needed encouragement. This is what I will miss most about my friend. She truly was a God sent person in my life. Someone that I could share and encourage to be a better person. When it's all said and done we both wanted to hear from Him, "WELL DONE".

My deepest condolences and sympathies to Shaminka's family and friends. Especially, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's office, Shaminka, was an admirable employee for 22 years. Unfortunately, Shaminka's life was cut short by a horrible disease and it's devestating to her loved one's that she was taken at such a young age. Sincerely, Mike Cohen
