#RIP to a great brother who made me and 100s of others throughout the years make the Academy grounds at the holidays ever more special via the handmade and painted scenes and figures displayed on campus from the Christmas Club he ran... SJBdlS Pray for us...

We think our heros are those who are held in high public acclaim, their feats professed to the masses through media and tales of their seemingly superhuman ability, courage, character, and strength. However, their will be no greater hero in the eyes of God than Brother Patrick whose talent for teaching and impact on countless young men was unprecedented. If a mans worth is measured in what he has given to others, there is no wealthier man than Brother Pat. Year after year and day after day he humbly dedicated himself to the love of his students and all the "biology" God created around him ( the gardens at CBA were at their best when Brother Pat tended to them) . Unfortunately today men of Science and men of faith are often akin to two swordsman in a duel. Brother Patrick taught us a perspective that allowed us to embrace both God and the science he created - life. On behalf of the class of 1984 I cannot thank you enough Brother Pat. No one ever possibly could. Now... make sure you don't allow Brother Andrew to count his own strokes when you two play golf :0) Vivat Jesus in cordibus nostris. Bobby Surgent '84

Bro Patrick made me like Biology (and I hated Biology). Such a good, strong man. Rest in the peace and presence of our loving God.
