Thank you to all who have commented here. I visit this site occasionally and am so grateful for the memories shared about my husband. If you still would like to leave a note, it will be seen. Or if there are no words, I still know that Michael is remembered and that many memories are cherished. He was the kindest and best of men. - Susan Mangini

My Heart and Prayers go out to Susan and the rest of the Family. While I did not know Mike all that long, we hit it off together the very first time we met. I am a shooting instructor at the Hudson Farm in Andover NJ and I was hosting a Charity event for the Wounded Warriors in Action, Mike donated generously to the Wounded Warriors in Action and approached me for private instruction for him and Susan. On the very first lesson I was moved by his love for Susan and how he was more concerned about her well being and having fun than his own. They say first impressions last a lifetime, and that will certainly be the case for me. I will miss the conversations and lighthearted jokes that we passed back and forth. Mike you will be sorely missed, thank you for your friendship and your Military Service as well.

I, along with my family are both shocked and saddened terribly by the loss of Michael. Not only was he a vital part of our family; he was my friend. Michael as recently as November came through in spades for me and my son within hours; both my son (Michael as well) and I needed emergency, critical, and vital surgeries. We both did not have any documentation prepared for this. Being at a total loss I asked Michael what to do? He said with compassion and sympathy "No worries, you won't need anything, focus on you and your son's health". "But I'll prepare with the help of a NY licensed Attorney everything necessary so you and yours have peace of mind during this stressful time". Less than a day later, we each had all the very many important documents necessary in the event our life threatening surgeries went sour. Michael must have worked like crazy as we needed everything (a dozen) legal forms etc. were completed giving us the ability to focus on each others conditions. That is just one recent incident where Michael always comes through; he has ALWAYS been a 'GIVER'! When all the papers were completed; I requested a bill for his and his NY attorney's fine & fast work; Michael responded "It was a pleasure to help you both & I'm honored you entrusted me as well" Adding; "I would never charge family or a friend in need, and you are both". I'm so very sorry Susan and family & friends; he truly is a person to be very proud of, I say "IS" because he will always remain such in our hearts......

We will miss you terribly. You brought smiles and lots of laughter into our lives, as well as knowledge about anything we discussed.

It was a terrible shock to hear about Mike's untimely passing. Susan, Mike did some legal work for us several years ago, and Pat worked with him at MCPO. Ironically you and I both work at iconectiv now. To us, Mike was one of those people we were glad to have known and who made the world a better place. We knew he had the highest honesty and integrity, and genuinely cared about people. We are also grateful for Mike's prior military service. It's a huge loss. Susan, Pat and I offer our deepest condolences. John and Pat King

I remember Michael's love for Jesus and his wife and family the most. His love of entertaining and cooking. His love for studying scripture. And going way out of his way to help my friend's son in jail. He helped me a lot as well and was very generous always. Sometimes he pushed my buttons but that was Michael always looking under every rock making sure nothing was missed, always questioning until he got answers that satisfied him and made sure that I knew I could back up what I believed. An all around good man. I trusted him enough to make him my "go to" for my family in case I was ever in a place that someone had to decide whether or not to pull the plug. That's how much I trusted him.
