Obituary of Diana Picerno
Diana Picerno, 64, of Colts Neck Township died Friday, February 9, 2007 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Mrs. Picerno was born on Staten Island, N.Y. and had resided in Freehold Township for 16 years before moving to Colts Neck Township 21 years ago. Mrs. Picerno was a teacher in the Manalapan-Englishtown Schools for the past 30 years where she was named Teacher of the Year in 2005. She was also selected for Who’s Who in Teaching. She was a graduate of Wagner College, Staten Island and earned a Master’s Degree from Hunter College, New York City. Mrs. Picerno was a communicant of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Colts Neck Township. Surviving are her husband, Albert N. Picerno; a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Lia Picerno and two daughters, Noelle and Alexis Picerno; and a grandson, James Daniel Picerno. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Colts Neck Township on Thursday at 9:00 A.M.
