Obituary of Gary J. Ruda

Gary J. Ruda, 53, of Englishtown died Sunday, May 13, 2007 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was born in Neptune Township and was a lifelong Englishtown resident. He was the owner and operator of Cobbler + Tailor, Route 33, Freehold for over 25 years. Gary was a longtime and active member of Alcoholics Anonymous, Freehold, Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club, National Rifle Association and Knights of Phythias Lodge, Manalapan Township. He was predeceased by his father, Samuel Ruda and a brother, Skip Ruda. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Alyssa and Donald Bozarth, Southampton; his mother, Vivian Ruda, Jackson Township; three sisters, Sandy Marinko and Elaine Ruda, both of Freehold, and Linda Kennedy, Lakewood; three grandchildren, Sammie, Owen, and Julian; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Congregation Sons of Israel Cemetery, Route 522, Englishtown. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to a literacy program of your choice would be appreciated.
