ODE TO JEANNE Gracious and kind as any I have seen, This was my cousin and sister I called Jeanne. An extension of my aunt Frankie Lee, She was in charge as all could see. With 8 sisters and brothers and cousins aside, In our youth, she took us on a marvelous ride. As I grew older, I didn’t see her as much, But when I did, she still had that touch. And now she joins others of our family tree, Who have gone before us, to be ultimately free. Now it’s the end and just like the start, I love you Jeanne,you’ll always be in my heart.
