Obituary of Kenneth J. Horton

Kenneth J. Horton, Jr. 21 of Howell Township died suddenly Friday, September 7, 2007 at home. Born in North Carolina, he lived in Howell Township for the past 17 years. Kenneth was involved in Howell Pop Warner for four years. He also played for the North Howell Little League for seven years where he was a member of the All Star Team on several occasions. He was a graduate of Freehold Township High School Class of 2004, where he continued to excel in every sport he played. He was a member of the freshman football and baseball teams. He then continued on to varsity football and varsity spring track where he set a 161 foot record for top javelin in 2002. He was completely devoted to his true family and friends as any one human being can be. He did his best to protect each and every one of them that he truly loved everyday of his too short life as he will continue to do in eternity. He is survived by his devoted family which include his mother, Jennifer Huebsch Horton; a brother, Bryant Jeffery Horton; a sister, Melyssa Ashley Horton; his maternal grandmother, Susan Huebsch Louk and her spouse “Pop Pop” Gary Louk; the true love of his life Kristine Rappa and her sister Kim Rappa; Sal and Kathy Rappa who truly loved him as their own son; his “son” Romeo and his pals Sebastien and Daisy; and the latest addition to the family, Chrysler, all of Howell Township; his namesake, “Uncle Kenny” Kenneth W. Huebsch, III and his wife, Holly Simpson Huebsch of Virginia. He is also survived by his father, Kenneth J. Horton, Sr. and his spouse Min, and their daughter Aaliyah. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
