Ken, I know there are no words that can ease the pain and hurt you are feeling today, but know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Remember to put your faith and trust in God as He will get you through this very difficult time. Always know that your friends are here for you and how much you and your family are loved. I never knew Ken Jr., but if he was anything like his Dad, I know he was a wonderful Son and one that you can always be proud of. I pray that God will wrap His loving arms around you and comfort you today and in the days ahead. Love Mom #2

The thoughts and prayers of my entire family are with you during this difficult time. All of us who worked with Ken Sr. felt as though we truly knew Ken Jr. (even though many of us never met him personally). His father was so proud of his son and shared stories of his sports accomplishments with us on a regular basis. I know that your pain from this loss seems incredibly hard to bear; just know that the Roxboro Police Department family loves and supports you and my own family as well. May you know the peace of God that surpasses all the understanding of man.

To the Horton family my prayer are with you during the loss of your son Kenneth J. Horton, Jr. I can't take away the loss your family is feeling right now. I just want to let you know you will be in my prayers. Just remember God doesn't put more of us than what we can bear. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. May God bless your family.
