Obituary of Dalelorene C. Lucas
Dalelorene C. “Laurie” Lucas, 81, who was affectionately known to her family as Teedee, of Port Orange, Florida died September 11, 2009 in Port Orange. She was born in Seattle, Washington and had resided in Matawan, North Brunswick, Southern California, Pennsylvania, and Utah before moving to Florida in 1989.
She was employed at Johnson and Johnson corporate headquarters and other divisions in New Brunswick as an administrative assistant.
She loved to read books, solve crossword puzzles, dancing, skiing, and visiting Vashon Island, Washington.
A son, Christopher Michael Boehm, died in 1979.
Surviving are her husband, Matthew M. Lucas; a brother, John “Jack” Richards, Vashon Island, Washington; her stepchildren, Cecilia Steinmacher, Barnegat, NJ; Denise Cabot, Melbourne, FL; Deborah Sansone, Toms River, NJ; Matthew Lucas, Belmar, NJ; and Kim Feller, Palm Bay, FL. her adopted nieces Sandy Stitzer, Independence, KY and Audrey Cereghino, FT. Lauderdale, FL.
Graveside services will be held at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
