Obituary of O'Dessar H. Simmons

O’Dessar H. Simmons, 87, of Freehold Township died Monday, September 19, 2011 at home. Mrs. Simmons was born in Ash, N.C. She was the proprietor of Designs, Inc., an interior design firm in Wilmington, N.C. Mrs. Simmons was a member of the Apostolic Holiness Church, Wilmington, N.C. She was predeceased by her husband, Rothwell Bisby Simmons; a daughter, June Rae Malpass; two brothers; and a sister. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Rothwell Bisby ”Rock” and Beverly Simmons and James A. and Diane M. Simmons; eight grandchildren, Tammy Dannette Malpass Simmons, Rothwell Bisby Simmons, III, Brennan Simmons, Laura Simmons, Jennifer Simmons, Samuel Keith Simmons, Terry DeWayne Simmons, and Misty Dawn Simmons Shaner; and many great grandchildren. Private services in North Carolina will be held at date to be determined. Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
