Obituary of Abraham Wolkowitz

Abraham Wolkowitz, 88, of Manalapan Township died Saturday, September 24, 2011 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Wolkowitz was born in Lutomersk, Poland and was a survivor of the Holocaust. He operated Central Jersey Egg Farm, Manalapan Township from 1951 until his retirement in 1985 Mr. Wolkowitz was a member of the Perrineville Jewish Center, Perrineville. Surviving are his wife, Martha Rosenberg Wolkowitz; two sons, Perry Wolkowitz and his wife Cindy and Jerry Wolkowitz and his fiancé, Peggy; two daughters, Judy Marcus and husband Steven and Goldie Markowitz and husband Frank; six grandchildren, Melissa, Dorianne and her husband Saras, David, Rachel, Steven, and Alyssa; four great grandchildren, Kesley, Dylan, Adam, and Jordan; and a nephew, David Berkowitz and his wife Orna. Funeral services were held at the Perrineville Jewish Chapel followed by interment at the Perrineville Jewish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Perrineville Jewish Center or the Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid Squad would be appreciated. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold was in charge of arrangements.
