Obituary of Claire W. Ritterman

Claire W. Ritterman, 89, of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, formerly of Freehold, died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, N.C. Mrs. Ritterman was born in Pittsburgh, Penn. and had resided in Freehold before moving to North Carolina in 2005. She was a member of Congregation Agudath Achim, Freehold and a Past President of the congregation’s Sisterhood. Her husband, , Irving Ritterman, a Past President of Congregation Agudath Achim, died in1980. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Ellen D. and Jim Hackbarth; and a granddaughter Erin and her fiancé , Nevin Markel. Funeral services will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday at noon followed by interment at Monmouth Fields Cemetery, West Long Branch. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
