Obituary of Brother Michael A. Finnegan

Brother Michael A. Finnegan, F.S.C., 69, of Lincroft died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Brother Michael was born in New York City. He received the Holy Habit of the Christian Brothers on September 7, 1960. He was a graduate of Good Shepherd School, New York City, St. Joseph’s Juniorate High School, Barrytown, N.Y., and De La Salle College, Washington, D.C. Brother Michael’s assignments included St. Thomas the Apostle School, New York City, La Salle School, Albany, N.Y., Lincoln Hall, Lincolndale, N.Y. where he served as Director, Sacred Heart High School, Yonkers, N.Y. where served as Sub-Director, Good Shepherd School, New York City where he served as Director, La Salle Academy, New York City, and De La Salle Hall, Lincroft where he served as Sub-Director and currently as Director. The viewing will be on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a wake service to be held at 7:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul’s Church (the family parish), 82 Lake Road West, Congers, N.Y. on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Gethsemane Cemetery, Rockland Lake, N.Y. Memorial donations to De La Salle Nursing Development, 810 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738 would be appreciated. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
