Obituary of Nancy M. Miraglia
Nancy M. Miraglia, 92, of Howell Township died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at home. Mrs. Miraglia was born in New York City and had resided in Manalapan Township before moving to Howell Township in 1996.
Mrs. Miraglia was a secretary for Miraglia Associates, Manalapan Township.
She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold where she was a member of the church choir from 1974 to 2002. Mrs. Miraglia was a member of Catholic Daughters of the America Court No. 737, a former vice president and secretary of the St. Rose of Lima Rosary Altar Society, an avid participant in the Christian Family Movement, a Brownie Troop leader, and member of the Westerleigh Players, Staten Island, N.Y.
She was a speaker for the Federation of Catholic Schools and had travelled extensively around the world.
Her husband, Charles Miraglia, died in 1988. She was also predeceased by two sons-in-law, George Marszal and Michael O'Halloran, and her brother, Paul Assenza.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Paul and James Peter Miraglia, four daughters, Celia Iannelli and her husband Frank, Constance O'Halloran, Nancy Dumontet and her husband Francois, and Louise Waksmundzki and her husband Andrew; and eight grandchildren, Charles Christopher and Nicholas Miraglia, Gregory and Jeffery Marszal, Christian and Philip Dumontet, and Stephanie and Andrea Waksmundzki.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday and Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at the parish cemetery.
