Obituary of Franklin Tyler
Franklin “Pete” Tyler, Sr., 77, of Woodsville, died Thursday, October 13, 2011 at home. Born in Manalapan Township, he was a lifelong resident of Woodsville.
Mr. Tyler was a custodian for the Township of Manalapan for 12 years, retiring 22 years ago.
He was a member of St. James A.M.E. Church, Woodsville.
Surviving are four sons, Franklin Tyler, Jr. and his wife, Sheila, and Donald Lee Tyler and his companion, Michelle, all of Trenton, Minister Derek Antoine Tyler and his wife Michelle, Manalapan Township, and Oris Daniels, Eatonton, Georgia; three daughters, Arlene Humphries and her husband Henry, Englishtown, Cynthia Lynn Singh, Millstone Township, and Beverly Ann Tyler and her fiancé Willie B. Harrison, Jr., Manalapan Township; a sister, Georgiana Tyler, East Orange; an uncle, Sam Tyler and his wife Mildred; and two special cousins, Katherine Tyler and Carrie Church; and a host of grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Friday, October 21, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at St. James A.M.E. Church, Woodsville with visitation at the church from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Interment will follow at Manalapan Cemetery.
