Obituary of Gladys Delgado

Gladys Delgado, 76 of Kearny died Sunday, October 30, 2011 at home. Born in Villaba, Puerto Rico, she lived in Newark and Tinton Falls prior to moving to Kearny. Mrs. Delgado was the owner and operator of Delgado’s Dry Cleaners, Newark. Her husband, Carlos R. Delgado, Sr. died in 2003. Surviving are a son, Carlos Delgado, Jr., Tinton Falls; a daughter, Jacqueline Delgado-Rodriguez, Kearny; two sisters, Emma Garcia, Newark, and Rosa Acevedo, Belleville; and three grandchildren, Luis and Yesenia Rodriguez, and Angelique Quinones. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Wednesday 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
