Obituary of Kevin J. O'Brien

Kevin J. O’Brien, 69, of Jackson Township died Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Army for 16 years before retiring with the rank of captain. Mr. O’Brien was an engineer for Westfalia Separator, Northvale. He was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine R. C. Church, Freehold. He was predeceased by a sister, Terrie Acinapura, who died in 2006. Surviving are his children, Kim Davis, Kevin O’Brien and his wife Jennifer, Tricia Craven and her husband Walter, Shawn O’Brien, and Brandon O’Brien; three sisters, Jean Marie Madia, Rosemary Doran, and Joan O’Brien; and seven grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine R.C. Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. Memorial donations to the American Lung Association would be appreciated.
