Obituary of Mary Patricia Boyle Dorey
Mary Patricia Boyle Dorey, 82 of Toms River, died Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Freehold, she lived in Neptune Township and Hobe Sound, Florida prior to moving to Toms River 19 years ago.
Mrs. Dorey was a telephone operator for NJ Bell Telephone Company, Freehold. After that, she was a switchboard operator for Sears and Roebuck, Neptune Township.
Daughter of the late Joseph Anthony and Nellie Kelsey Boyle, she was also predeceased by two brothers, Joseph Eugene Boyle and George Frederick Boyle; and two sisters, Loretta Wilson and Helen Heiser; and her son, Kevin Dorey.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 61 years, James Dorey; two sons and three daughters-in-law, James and Barbara Dorey, Sparta, Joseph and Teresa Dorey, Toms River, and Linda Dorey Campbell, San Diego, California; a brother, J. William Boyle, Freehold; and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Dorey enjoyed many years of square dancing, crocheting, and card playing with family and friends.
Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
