Obituary of William J. Clossey

William J. Clossey, Sr. 84, died on January 13, 2012 in Haines City, Florida. He was a winter resident of Winter Haven Oaks in Winter Haven, Florida and a summer resident of Freehold. He retired from the U.S. Government after 30 years of service as a civilian employee of the U.S. Navy in Bayonne. He was the Planning Department Branch Supervisor of Management Analysis dealing with problems associated with the foreign aid programs and internal department affairs. He also retired from Merck and Company, Inc after 20 years of service in Rahway. He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine in 1996 and a son, Timothy Patrick in 1955. He is survived by four children, William, Jr. and his wife Karen, Kevin and his wife Frances , Kathleen Spinelli and her husband Carmine, and Joan Dillon and her husband Kenneth; 14 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at the parish cemetery.
