Obituary of Edna C. O'Donnell

Edna C. (Niehaus) O’Donnell 90, of Midland MI formally of Colts Neck NJ past away at home on Thursday February 23, 2012. She was born in Lodi twp. NJ on April 20, 1921 to the late Ludwig and Edna Niehaus. Edna move to Colts Neck NJ as a young girl and graduated from Red Bank High School and the New York Institute of Dietetics. Edna married George V O’Donnell in 1944. When George retired from the Navy they made their home in Colts Neck NJ until 1999 when they moved to Midland MI with their daughter Kathy and grandson Eric. Edna was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother affectionately called Mommom by all. She was dearly loved by her family and will be truly missed. Edna is predeceased by her husband George V O’Donnell. She is survived by her daughter Kathleen Felsentreger, Midland MI, her daughter Sandra Finelli and husband Vincent, Grovespring MO, her son George O’Donnell and wife Rose, Brick NJ, her son Patrick O’Donnell and wife Jean, Delmar NY, 10 Grand Children, her brother Albert Niehaus and wife Carol, Colts Neck NJ, her sister Claire Kapcin and husband Paul, Inberness FL, her sister-in-law Jeannette Niehaus, Centreville MD, and loving Nieces and Nephews. Visiting will be held Tuesday, 2p.m. to 4p.m. and 6p.m. to 8p.m. at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold NJ. A funeral service will take place Wednesday, 10a.m., at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent, NJ.
