Obituary of Earl Robert Marriner

Earl Robert Marriner, Sr., 81, of Jackson Township died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at home. He was born in Freehold. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Earl was a groundkeeper at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent before his retirement. Surviving are his wife, Rose Soden Marriner; four sons, Vincent, Mark, Earl and Chuck; a daughter, Rachel Bednarski; two sisters, Jackie Jones and Gloria Hale; 18 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and a niece Kathleen Hala. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Monday at 9:00 a.m. The interment will follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations to Deborah Heart and Lung Center would be appreciated.
