Obituary of Eric R. Petosa

Eric R. Petosa, 36, of Manalapan Township died Friday, March 16, 2012. Eric was born in Queens, N.Y. and resided in Staten Island, N.Y. before moving to Freehold and then Manalapan. He was a restaurant chef in New Jersey and Florida. He attended Freehold Township Schools and Freehold Township High School. Surviving are his father and stepmother, Raymond and Angelica Petosa, Manalapan Township; his mother and stepfather, Nancy and David Gruman, Punta Gorda, Florida; a daughter, Julie Petosa, Brick Township; a brother, Matthew Petosa, Huntington Beach, California; a sister, Amanda Brown, Freehold; two aunts, Laura Felmore, Punta Gorda, Florida and Heidi Green, Lithia, Florida; two nephews, Anthony and Aidan; and his best friend, Joe Lopez, Lakewood. Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Church of St. Andrew, 40 Old Mill Road, Staten Island, N.Y. on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at the church cemetery. Memorial donations to the Make A Wish Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or a favorite charity would be appreciated.
