Obituary of Bertha B. Daugila
Bertha B. Daugila, 83, of Freehold died Saturday, March 24, 2012 at home. Mrs. Daugila was born in Freehold where she was a lifelong resident.
She was formerly employed at the A.& M. Karagheusian Rug Mill and Battleview Orchards, both of Freehold.
Mrs. Daugila was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold; a member of the Deborah Hospital Auxiliary, and an avid bingo player at St. Rose of Lima and the Freehold Jewish Center.
Her husband, John J. Daugila died in 2009.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Eileen Daugila and Frank and Susan Daugila; a daughter, Kathleen Hulse; three brothers, Frank, Edward and George Ostrowski; two sisters, Rose Bradley and Mary Dawson; four grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, Holly, and Allison; and two great grandchildren, Kayla and Jackson.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery. Memorial donations to a local animal shelter would be appreciated.
