Obituary of Joan V. Fichtl

Joan V. Fichtl, 90 of Colts Neck passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012 at CareOne at Holmdel. She was born in Maywood and had lived in Indiana before moving to Colts Neck. Mrs. Fichtl was an Office Manager for Mahwah Construction before retiring in 1984. Mrs. Fichtl was predeceased by her daughter Gail V. Walling in 1994. Surviving are her husband Ralph; one daughter and son- in- law, Donna and Woodrow Luhrs , Manalapan Township; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 5 P.M. at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street Freehold. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, 11:15 A.M. at St. Gabriel’s Historic Church, 549 Route 520, Marlboro Township. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Children’s Tumor Foundation, 95 Pine Street, 16th floor, NY, NY 10005-4002.
