Obituary of Frank P. Thornton
Frank P. Thornton, 96, of Freehold Township died Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Wedgwood Gardens, Freehold Township. Mr. Thornton was born in Virginia and had resided in Richmond, Virginia before moving to Freehold Township eight years ago.
Mr. Thornton served with the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
He was a funeral home assistant in Virginia before hi s retirement.
Surviving are two adoplted daughters, Phyllis and Nadine Bennett, both of Richmond, Virginia; two brothers and sisters-in-law,, John and Virginia Thornton and Payton and Shirley Thornton; and four sisters, Mozzelle Bostick, Betty Roach, Pearline White, and Mary Hill and her husband, Cleothas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to noon. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at noon followed by interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
