Obituary of William C. Cobbs

William C. Cobbs, Sr., 73, of Freehold died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at home. He was born in Coffee Springs, Alabama. Mr. Cobbs was a dietician at the Jamesburg Home for Boys, Jamesburg before his retirement. He was a member of the Church of God and the Holy Echoes, both of Freehold. Surviving are his wife Rosa Worsley Cobbs; four sons, Christopher, Otis, William Jr. and his wife, LaJuana, and Solomon and wife Cassandra; two daughters, Diana and Monica; five brothers, Rev. Gerald, Peter, Donnnie, Jose, and Michael; three sisters, Oramae, Carol, and Gail; 27 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. The viewing will be held at the Church of God, 26 Ave. A, Freehold on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the church on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
