Obituary of Dolores M. Ziobro

Dolores M. Ziobro, 75 of Millstone Township, devoted and dedicated mom, wife, grandmother and friend, passed away Monday, April 16, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Elizabeth, NJ and had lived in Fords, NJ before moving to Millstone Township where she has resided since 1967. Mrs. Ziobro was a school bus driver for Millstone Township Board of Education. She was a member of many organizations which include; the Millstone Twp. First Aid Squad for 46 years, the N.J. State First Aid Council, 23rd District Vice President for 23 plus years, the Millstone Twp. Board of Education for 23 years, the Millstone Twp. Office of Emergency Management for 29 years, the Millstone Twp. Senior Citizens Club for 22 years, a Girl Scout Leader as well as State Council representative, the Ladies Auxiliary of Millstone Twp. Fire Department, the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Post 253, Spotswood, the Eastern Star, Elizabeth, NJ, the Ladies Auxiliary of Centrastate Hospital and she was voted Citizen of the Year by the Millstone Twp. Elks. She also volunteered her time with the Dept. of Social Services to assist those in need. Mrs. Ziobro was predeceased by 12 siblings and her 3 grandchildren. Surviving is her husband Frank A., one son and daughter- in- law, Robert John Van Pelt and his wife Cecilia , four daughters and sons-in-law; Deborah Van Pelt and her husband James Keating, Linda Hofmann and her husband Kenneth, Darrellyn Sullivan and her husband Paul and Patricia Williams and her husband David, an adopted son Robert H. Schulze, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. The family would like to express their thanks to all of those who lent their assistance at a difficult time. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street Freehold. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, 11:00 A.M. at the United Presbyterian Church of Millstone. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
