Obituary of Joseph Maria Brunori
Joseph Maria Brunori, of Yardley, Pennsylvania loving husband of Elsa Carmen Pequich de Brunori for nearly 55 years, passed away on May 3, 2012 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Joseph was 80 years old and is survived by his wife, Elsa; daughter, Ana M. Reilly and husband, Joseph and their four children, Matthew, Mark, Victoria and Katherine; his son-in-law, Henry Raggio, widower of daughter, M. Gabriella Raggio, and their two children, Lucas and Marcella; son, I. Adrian Brunori; daughter Karina Pia Lucid, her husband, Thomas and their daughter, Cordelia Theresa.
Joseph was born in Rosario, Argentina where he grew up, met, and married his sweetheart at Nuestra Senora de la Merced parish. Joseph and Elsa immigrated to the United States in 1963, moved to Marlboro in 1974. He was a parishioner of St. Gabriel's in Marlboro for 30 years, before moving to Yardley, PA, where he is a parishioner of St. Ignatius of Antioch.
Joseph received a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Republica Argentina in 1961.
Joseph was a faithful servant of Christ, a devoted and loving husband, a wonderful father and a fun, happy grandfather; he was adventurous, hard working, and selfless; loved traveling, family celebrations, and "fixing things".
Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Gabriel’s Historic Church, 549 Route 520, Marlboro on Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at the parish cemetery. If so desired memorial donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of New Jersey.
