Obituary of Vincent James Merola

Vincent James “Jim” Merola, 93, passed away on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016. He was a lifelong Freehold resident who proudly served his country during World War II then spent his career working for the Nestle Corporation in Freehold. He loved summers at his beach house in Manasquan, telling stories about the war, and spending time with his family, especially with his home cooked pizza. Jim is predeceased by his parents Louisa and James Merola, wife, Angela Caiazzo Merola and brother, Michael Merola. He is survived by his daughters, Louisa Barlaam, Geanna Merola, and Angie Rosen, their husbands Richard, Erik and Nat, six grandchildren, Geanna, Jessie, Jacob, Dani, Sara and Alexandra and his four brothers and sisters, Ralph, Armando John, Millie and Philly. A viewing will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016, from 2:00 to7:00 pm at Higgins Memorial Home in Freehold. The Funeral Liturgy will be held Monday, March 28th, 2016, 10:00am at St. Rose of Lima Church with burial following at the parish cemetery.
