Obituary of Mary B. Conover-McDonald

Mary B. (Marlow) Conover-McDonald, 68, of Freehold died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township after a long illness. Mary was born to Ceasar Marlow and Annie (Blakely) at Monmouth Memorial Hospital in Long Branch on May 10, 1944 and was raised and educated in Manalapan. Mary, fondly known as "Maybe", worked for Freehold Rehabilitation & Nursing Center and John L. Montgomery Care Center as a certified nursing assistant. She married James E. Conover, Sr. and to that union six children were born. Later, she married Nathaniel O. McDonald, Jr. and to that union one child was born. She is predeceased by her father and mother, her two husbands, a sister, Annie L. Green, a brother George Sims, Sr., a son Leonard Conover and a daughter, Dawn E. Conover. Surviving are her three sisters, Everniece Cooper-Carlisle (Pastor Dennis), Lakewood, Lerina Eubanks,(Pastor John), Manchester and Lenora Gilliard, Lakewood, three sons Louis Conover, Newark, James Conover, Jr. (Judy), West Orange, and Nathaniel McDonald Jr., Freehold; two daughters Marian Conover-Burke (George) and Marlena Conover, Freehold, a stepdaughter Nia Wright-Berry, Wilmington, DE and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, Freehold on Monday, June 4, 2012. The viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
