Obituary of Mehmet Munur Hassan

Mehmet Munur Hassan, 76, of Freehold died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Larnaca, Cyprus. Mr. Hassan was a retired caterer. He was President of the Turkish Cypriot Cultural and Educational Association of the USA and a member of the Turkish American Community Center. Surviving are his wife, Elsie; three daughters, Emete Hassan, Janet Mazauskas and her husband Leonard, and Mary Schmitt and her husband, Tommy; a sister, Munuse Mehmet; grandchildren, Courtney and Haley Schmitt; and a great granddaughter, Riley Stump. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to noon. The interment will follow at East Windsor Cemetery, East Windsor Township.
