Obituary of Albert N. Picerno
Albert N. Picerno, 72, of Manchester Township died Thursday, June 7, 2012 at home. Born in Staten Island, New York, he lived in Freehold Township and Colts Neck for 21 years prior to moving to Manchester Township two years ago.
Mr. Picerno was employed by the Monmouth County Park System as a Park Ranger at Turkey Swamp Park, Freehold Township.
He was a Communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Colts Neck.
Mr. Picerno was a member of the National Rifle Association.
His wife, Diana Sineo Picerno, died in 2007.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Lia Picerno, Waxhaw, North Carolina; two daughters and a son-in-law, Noelle Picerno, Freehold, and Alexis and Ian Hetherington, Hingham, Massachusetts; his mother, Florence Perrine Picerno, Staten Island, New York; a sister, Marilyn Chaplin, Scotch Plains; and three grandchildren, James Daniel Picerno, Emma Catherine Picerno, and William Robert Hetherington.
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church, One Phalanx Road, Colts Neck. Donations in his memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated. Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, is in charge of arrangements.
