Obituary of Ann D. Sastokas
Ann D. Sastokas, 94, of Freehold died Monday, July 2, 2012 at her son’s home in Manasquan. Mrs. Sastokas was born in Jersey City and had resided in Freehold for most of her life.
She was an admissions supervisor at Freehold Raceway where she was employed before her retirement.
Mrs. Sastokas was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. She was a former Brownie Leader at St. Rose of Lima Church, a former member of the St. Rose of Lima School P.T.A., a former member of the Borough of Freehold Recreation Committee, and a former member of B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 1454 Auxiliary, Freehold.
Her husband, Michael J. Sastokas died in 2002. A son, Anthony Sastokas, died in 1960.
Surviving are a son, Michael Sastokas; a daughter, Carol Ann Wells and her husband, Wayne; a sister, Florence; four grandchildren, Bryan Sastokas, Hilarie Ann Wells-Yard, Michelle Wish, and Jeffrey Wells; and great grandchildren, Steven Yard, Regan Wish, Scheny Wish, and Alex, Sidney and Maya Sastokas.
Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Graveside services will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
