Obituary of Eleanor Francis Massa

Eleanor Francis Massa, 82 of Old Bridge passed on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she has lived in Old Bridge over 40 years. Mrs. Massa was employed by the State of New Jersey as a foster parent for over 30 years, raising more than 50 children. She was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge; and was an avid bingo player. Her husband, Daniel A. Massa died in 1988. Surviving are five sons and daughters-in-law, James DaGata, Old Bridge, Dr. Daniel Massa, Swainsboro, Georgia, Dennis and Maryellen Massa, Old Bridge, Dean and Beverly Massa, Toms River and Kenneth and Deborah Massa, New Egypt; 14 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Ambrose Church, 96 Throckmorton Lane, Old Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
