Obituary of Shirley Schaffer Abrahamsen

Shirley Schaffer Abrahamsen, 73, of Freehold Township died Friday, August 3, 2012 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Fincastle, Virginia, she lived most of her life in Freehold. Mrs. Abrahamsen was a clerk for the Central Jersey Bank and Trust Company, Freehold for 15 years, retiring in 1989. Daughter of the late James and Julia Cahoon Haymaker, she was predeceased by her first husband, Henry Schaffer, in 1975. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Brian J. and Rose Schaffer, Manalapan Township; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Sheldon Conolly, Jackson Township, and Karen and Robert Warnock, Massapequa Park, New York, two sisters-in-law, Beatrice Singer and Ruth Chalfin; and nine grandchildren, Steven, Kevin, Ashley, Andrew, Isabella, Graham, Jessica, Nicholas and Christopher. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
