Obituary of Josephine L. Schubert

Josephine L. Schubert, 89, of Jackson Township died Monday, September 3, 2012 at Bella Terra Assisted Living, Jackson Township. Mrs. Schubert was born in New York City and had resided in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn before moving to Jackson in 2005. She was an administrative assistant for Seamen’s Bank, New York City before her retirement. Mrs. Schubert was also employed at Sears Roebuck, Brooklyn. Mrs. Schubert was a former communicant of Our Lady of Guadalupe R.C. Church, Bensonhurst and a member of the Mr. and Mrs. Club of the church. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, LeRoy Schubert, in 2005. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Lee Artache and her husband Julio, Freehold; a son, Paul Schubert and his wife JoAnne, Saugerties, N.Y.; two sisters, Ann Rao, Orlando, Florida and Louise Matarresse, New Paltz, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Jonathan, Danielle, Victoria, Angelica, and Maya; and a great grandson, Derek. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Services will be held at funeral home on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by entombment at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
