Obituary of Robert Arthur Martin

Robert A. Martin, age 87, of Marlboro died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Sunrise Senior Community, Marlboro. Mr. Martin was born in Bronx NY. He resided in Rockland County, NY prior to Marlboro. He served in the US Army during World War II. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer for the Triboro Bridge and Tunnel Authority, NY, NY. Surviving is his wife, Jacquelyn McKenna Martin, his two daughters and sons-in-law; Melanie and Ken Cigas of Freehold and Valerie and Chris Cronk of St. Augustine, FL., his brother and sister-in-law John and Dorothy Martin of Queens, NY and his grandchildren Kyle, Leah and Bryce Cronk. Visiting hours will be held at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friends and family may gather Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home for the procession to Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ for Committal and military honors.
